Hall of Famer and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach has thrown his hat into the Johnny Manziel conversation. Staubach believes the Texans should take the Texas A&M product with the number one overall pick.

NFC East Free Agency Grades

Staubach sat down with the NFL Network and spoke about Manziel and who he thinks he compares to in the NFL.

"I think Manziel is a Russell Wilson-type player. He doesn't have the height, [but] he has a strong arm and he throws with accuracy."

"I just think there's something about this kid -- the quickness," he added. "Today in the league, the quarterbacks can fly; we weren't allowed to do that. I think Manziel is going to be a valuable player in the NFL.”

Staubach was a 10th-round pick for the Cowboys in 1964 out of Navy and went on to be not only one of the greatest Cowboys of all-time but overall quarterbacks of his time. The Texans have the first overall pick in May’s draft and rumors have the Texans drafting everyone from Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles to South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. The Texans are on the clock and with four weeks to go, we now know where Roger Staubach stands on the matter.
