The WWE presents its Extreme Rules event on May 4 live from the Izod Center in New Jersey, and while no matches have been officially announced for the show in the aftermath of WrestleMania XXX, the WWE's storylines have hinted towards certain matches happening at the event. We'll take a look at a potential card and project the match lineup for May 4.

Superstars of past and present react to the Ultimate Warrior's death

If the ending of this past week's Monday Night RAW is any indication, the WWE is likely looking to have something involving Daniel Bryan, The Shield and the foursome of Randy Orton, Triple H, Batista and Kane at the event.

While an eight-man tag or modified War Games type of match is possible, I believe the WWE will be looking to have Bryan, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, defend his gold against someone at the first pay-per-view with him as champion. Out of all the top heels, Orton likely has the best case to a title shot since he wasn't involved in the decision at WrestleMania.

With it being Extreme Rules, I believe Orton and Bryan will lock up in a Steel Cage match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. That leaves The Shield vs. Batista, Kane and Triple H as a six-man tag team match on the card. We'll call it a six-man elimination tables match.

The John Cena and Bray Wyatt feud will likely continue at the May event, and I project them to have a rematch in a Last Man Standing match where Wyatt will finally go over leading to a third match at the following event.

Another main feud that needs to come to a head is between the newest Paul Heyman guy, Cesaro, and Zeb Colter's charge Jack Swagger. The two of them will likely settle their score in a singles match at Extreme Rules, finally getting into the ring against each other on a big stage..

As far as the WWE Intercontinental Championship goes, the WWE may throw together a fatal four way match pitting Big E vs. RVD vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Bad News Barrett. In a Divas title match, A.J. Lee will likely use her re-match clause and take on Paige after she lost the title to her on this past week's RAW.

On the pre-show, a WWE Tag Team Match pitting The Usos against Erick Rowan and Luke Harper is probable.

Given the feuds that have been built and what the WWE is rumored to have planned in the coming months, the projected card for WWE Extreme Rules looks like this:

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage:
Daniel Bryan (C) vs. Randy Orton

Six-Man Elimination Tag Team Tables:
The Shield vs. Triple H, Batista and Kane

Last Man Standing:
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

Singles Match:
Cesaro w/ Paul Heyman vs. Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Colter

WWE Intercontinental Championship Fatal 4 Way:
Big E (C) vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Bad News Barrett vs. Rey Mysterio

WWE Divas Championship:
Paige (C) vs. A.J. Lee

WWE Tag Team Championships Pre-Show:
The Usos (C) vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan
