Following Sunday's historic WrestleMania XXX event, the WWE has four weeks to build up to Extreme Rules on May 4 live from the Izod Center in New Jersey. With the way the storylines have played out, there are five potential challengers to Daniel Bryan's WWE World Heavyweight Championship for that event. We'll take a look at those challengers while speculating who the WWE may build against him at the no holds barred event.

WrestleMania XXX review: Looking back on a historic night in the WWE

John Cena: Cena probably has less of an argument to face Bryan at Extreme Rules, however he has been out of the main event scene for a while and could be due to come back after defeating Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania XXX in a high-profile match. Cena will likely have a rematch with Wyatt at Extreme Rules, but he should always be in the back of fans' minds.

Brock Lesnar to meet Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2014?

Triple H: Triple H doesn't have a great argument for getting a title shot because he was pinned cleanly by Daniel Bryan to open up the biggest show of the year, however he is the COO so he could always just give himself a title shot. Add in the fact that his match with Bryan on Monday Night RAW didn't actually happen, and you've got a chance that "The Game" puts himself into the main event at Extreme Rules.

Batista: "The Animal" tapped out at WrestleMania XXX, causing Randy Orton to lose his title by default without being involved in the decision, still Batista could have a legitimate excuse to get a title shot. Batista won the 30-man over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match to guarantee himself a title shot at WrestleMania XXX, however it ended up not being a one-on-one chance due to the fact that Bryan eventually won his way into the main event forcing it to be a triple threat. Batista could use that argument to get his one-on-one chance.

Brock Lesnar: "The Beast" has tons of momentum coming out of his victory over The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX that ended The Streak, so what better way to carry that momentum than into a title match with Bryan? The only problem is Lesnar is on a limited appearances deal and the fact that his manager Paul Heyman joined up with Cesaro leads to the belief that Lesnar may disappear for a little bit. While Lesnar deserves a title shot for ending The Streak, which will likely come at SummerSlam in August.

Randy Orton: "The Viper" would make the most sense, since according to past WWE storylines, the former champion always has a "rematch clause" in his contract. Add in the fact that Bryan made Batista tap out to win the title and that Orton wasn't even a factor in the decision, and it should probably be Orton taking on Bryan in the main event at Extreme Rules.

It is possible coming out of RAW that some sort of War Games type match takes place pitting Bryan and The Shield against Triple H, Orton, Batista and Kane.

Extreme Rules is just a month away, but it remains to be seen what the main event will be.
