After another incredible weekend of college basketball, the National Championship is set. No. 7 UConn and No. 8 Kentucky will square off in a National Championship that very few people, if any, saw coming.

Why the UConn Huskies will win: On one side of the coin are the Huskies. They have knocked off some elite talent to get to this point, including No. 1 overall seed Florida. UConn holds the all-time matchup with Kentucky at 3-1 and all of their games have happened this century. At 23.3 points per game, Shabazz Napier has established himself as the games hottest player going in and he hasn't done it alone. The Huskies have an established cast of players that have been playing as a complete group for all of the tournament. If the game comes down to free throws it will be UConn’s game to lose as they are fourth in the country in the category.

Why the Kentucky Wildcats will win: The Wildcats can rebound against any team in the country as they dominate the glass. They grab 42.3 percent of offensive rebounds, good for best in the nation, where UConn ranks 247th in the nation in defensive rebounding. Being the more physical team will get Kentucky everywhere in this game, and can get Julius Randle going early, not only will they establish an early lead, but they will hold the lead down the stretch. Kentucky should be able to play their game and at the worst keep in close with UConn.

This game is one of the more even matchups and, about a month ago, no one had either of these teams making this game. We are in for a treat when these two underdogs play the last game of the season for all the marbles.
