India has yet to be defeated in the World T20, despite facing a rather stiff challenge from the South Africans, while Sri Lanka was able to hold off a late rally from the West Indies in a rain-abbreviated clash.
Sri Lanka's spinners were absolutely crucial in staving off defeat, especially Sachitra Senanayake and Lasith Malinga. Senanayake was brilliant, giving up just six runs in two overs, while Malinga was even more spectacular with five runs and two wickets. They'll need to keep it up if they plan on knocking off India for the first time all tournament.
All of Sri Lanka's bowlers will be doing their best to control India's Virat Kohli, who has rattled off an unimaginable 242 runs, while his running mate has posted 171 runs with a rate of 42.75. On the flip side, India's spin bowlers have been nearly as phenomenal as their batsmen and created a nearly perfect brand of cricket when mixed with the potent offense.
The powerful bats and top-notch spinners seem invincible, but the South Africans were able to touch up India just a tad. Sri Lanka boasts several bats capable of doing severe damage, most notably Kumar Sangakkara, who will need to be at the top of their game along with the crew of bowlers to get the win.
