The NBA trade deadline has passed and many of the big names expected to move, such as Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks, Eric Bledsoe of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics stayed put. The biggest name that moved was sweet-shooting guard J.J. Redick of the Orlando Magic., according to several sources.

Redick, forward/center Gustavo Ayon, and point guard Ish Smith were dealt to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for point guard Beno Udrih, shooting guard Doron Lamb, and forward Tobias Harris. Redick was having a nice year for the Magic, averaging 15 points and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 39 percent from the 3-point line. Redick's presence could make for a crowded Milwaukee backcourt, who already have Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis, but Redick brings a different skill set than those two volume scorers. Redick, whose contract is expiring along with Jennings', could be retained if the Bucks deem Jennings too pricy in the offseason. The Magic also swapped forwards with the Charlotte Bobcats, dealing Josh McRoberts for Hakim Warrick.

Several other lower-profile trades were swung before the deadline. The Boston Celtics acquired Wizards shooting guard Jordan Crawford, whose claim to fame is dunking on LeBron James as a high-schooler. The Celtics traded center Jason Collins and the expiring contract of injured point guard Leandro Barbosa, who is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

The Miami Heat traded reserve center Dexter Pittman and their second-round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies for Memphis' trade exception.

The Toronto Rapters acquired point guard Sebastian Telfair from the Phoenix Suns for center Hamed Haddadi and a second-round pick. The Suns also acquired Marcus Morris earlier in the day from the Houston Rockets, pairing him with his twin brother Markieff.

The Portland Trailblazers dealt the rights to Giorgio Printezis to the Oklahoma City Thunder for backup point guard Eric Maynor. The Thunder also acquired swingman Ronnie Brewer from the New York Knicks in exchange for a second-round pick. Reports indicate the Knicks are interested in signing center Jermaine O'Neal to fill Brewer's roster spot. The Knicks have been racked with injuries to frontcourt members Rasheed Wallace and Marcus Camby.
