The DeSean Jackson saga has ended for now as the Chris Johnson sweepstakes is about to start. The notable free agent signings of the past week are as follows:

Redskins sign WR DeSean Jackson (3 year, $24M; $16M guaranteed): The Redskins win the DeSean Jackson sweepstakes and got him on the cheap somehow. I like the money in this deal and it opens up the possibility of the Redskins still improving in other areas. Jackson solidifies the Redskin receivers and should be the teams number two behind Pierre Garcon.
Grade: B

Raiders sign RB Maurice Jones-Drew (3 years, $7.5M; $1.2M guaranteed): I am in the minority of writers who love what the Raiders are doing this offseason. They are brining in veteran talent to improve their roster from 2013 and the veterans wont hurt the eventual youth movement the Raiders will have. MJD has little left in the tank, but pairing him with fragile Darren McFadden will help him get some running room.
Grade: A

Rams sign WR Kenny Britt (1 year, $1.4M; $550K guaranteed): This is the only place Kenny Britt could become a contributor. Jeff Fisher drafted him and will try and turn his career around for the better. Britt improves the suspect Rams receiving core and could take a complementary role if the Rams choose to draft a wide receiver at no. two overall.
Grade: B

Other Notable Moves:
Eagles sign QB Mark Sanchez (1 year, $2.25 million)

Raiders sign CB Carlos Rogers (1 year, $2.5M; $1M guaranteed)

Broncos sign C/G Will Montgomery (1 year, $1.3 million)

Jets sign CB Dimitri Patterson (1 year, $3 million)

Lions sign S James Ihedigbo (2 years, $3.15M; $750K guaranteed)
