It’s too bad Brian McCann is on the Yankees this season, because Tuesday’s game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Atlanta Braves could have gotten very interesting.

The 5-4 Braves’ victory featured a solo home run by Milwaukee’s Carlos Gomez. The always-entertaining Gomez proceeded to sprint around the bases. His fast-paced home run “trot” was clearly a subtle jab at the Braves. Watch Gomez sprint around the bases here:

Last season Gomez homered against the Braves in Atlanta and took his time rounding the bases at a snails’ pace, all while yelling at pitcher Paul Maholm and first baseman Freddie Freeman. Before Gomez could reach home plate, he was confronted by McCann and memorable baseball brawl ensued. Check out the video below:

Gomez and the Brewers host McCann’s Yankees May 9-11 and it will be interesting to see if any fireworks break out between the veteran rivals.

Do you think Gomez was intentionally trolling the Braves? Is it possible that he thought sprinting around the bases would make up for his showboating of last season? Let us know on Twitter @briansflood
