The NBA Playoff push is in full swing and the Indiana Pacers are reeling down the standings. the Pacers have struggled and will limp into the playoffs. Roy Hibbert has been the rock that holds the team together, but, funny thing about the All-Star's stats, they compare really well to another player considered a huge bust.

Look at Hibbert’s 2013-14 stats at this point in the season. He looks an awful like the “bust” year of one Kwame Brown. I know what you are thinking “There is no way that Roy Hibbert is Kwame Brown,” but hear out the comparison.

Scary I know. The stats look almost identical, but one is considered an anchor of a potential championship team and the other one of the worst busts of all time and a number one overall pick. That is where the bust title comes into play. Sure, Brown had some miserable seasons and didn't have the supporting cast Hibbert has, but he was a No. 1s pick. The pressure that come with that and the hype machine it creates can be your downfall.

Hibbert is also regarded as on of the best defensive big men in the game so his offensive game suffers in favor of other, more talented point scorers. Hibbert is the heart and soul of the Pacers during Paul George’s recent struggles and thats something that stats dont reflect. Hibbert also averages close to two more blocks per game than Brown did, adding to the defensive presence Hibbert gives off. The comparison is a bold one, but one that has some ground and merit. the thing the comparison cant show on paper is what kind of impact the player has in the locker room and on defense.
