Tonight at 8:10 p.m. ET, the Atlanta Braves (0-1) and Milwaukee Brewers (1-0) continue their 2014 opening series live from Miller Park in Milwaukee. The game can be live streamed here. Atlanta fans can hear all of the action on WCNN 680 while Milwaukee fans can do the same on WTMJ 620.
After dropping the first game of the series, the Braves send Alex Wood to the hill after he went 3-3 last season with a 3.30 ERA while the Brewers counter with Kyle Lohse, who went 11-10 in 2013 with a 3.35 ERA.
Wood told MLB.com on Monday that he was excited for tonight's start.
"I'm excited, because I feel like there are a lot more expectations for me this year," Wood said. "I like the expectations, because I feel like that is what keeps you focused. I can't wait to get out there tomorrow."
Rickie Weeks will start at second and Mark Reynolds will do the same at first as manager Ron Roenicke continues to go with a lefty-righty platoon in the infield.
"We're going to try not only just go left-right, but when the matchup is right, Reynolds will be in there more, Rickie will be in there more," Roenicke said per MLB.com. "Then we'll just play it out. I think they're all going to get their at-bats, but whoever's doing better is going to be out there more."
The Brewers hope for a big year out of Ryan Braun, who received a standing ovation at Miller Park Monday in his first game back since being suspended for 65 games last season due to his connection to the Biogenesis Clinic.
Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez will look to continue his strong play against Atlanta after going 2-for-3 with a two-run double on Monday.
Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons will look to continue his success at Miller Park, where he has hit .316 for his career.
The Braves look to draw even in the series while the Brewers hope to go 2-0 when they take the field at Miller Park this afternoon in Milwaukee.
