One of the more underrated and under the radar signings of the offseason has been wide receiver Kenny Britt to the St. Louis Rams. Reuniting Britt with former coach Jeff Fisher could be a great career move, but will Fisher be able to salvage the former Titan?

Fisher drafted Britt out of Rutgers in the first round of the 2009 draft and plugged him in right away. Britt had his best two seasons of his career paired with Fisher, compiling 701 and 775 yards in 2009,2010 respectively. Britt also had his career high in touchdowns in Fishers last season as Titans coach with nine.

Now not to say Fisher can fix everything. Britt has had multiple knee surgeries that ended his potential breakout 2011 and hindered him in 2012 as well. On top of the knee issues, Britt has had his fair share of off the field problems as well. Britt has also been involved with the police nine times since he entered the NFL, the latest incident coming in January of 2013 when he refused to cooperate with cops following Britt driving a friend to the hospital after being stabbed.

If Britt can be committed to his comeback and not find himself on the wrong side of the law anymore, the sky is the limit. He has shown flashes of being a legitimate receiver in the NFL even though he was now of the worst in the league in 2013. If someone can get the most out of Britt it is Jeff Fisher and of he can get Britt’s head right the Rams might have grabbed a steal in free agency.
