On April 1 at 9:30 GMT, or 4:30 a.m. ET the ICC World T20 in Bangladesh continues as the host Bangladeshi squad gets ready to face off with Australia in Group 2 action. Live stream the match from Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur for free by clicking this link.
Unfortunately this match has had some of the fun taken out of it due to putrid showings in the Super 10 matchups, rendering both sides unable to advance to the semifinals. Still, these are two proud sides and the World T20's prestige can still draw peak performances even when they're meaningless in terms of moving forward.
Pride is at stake on both ends-Bangladesh as hosts will look to avoid embarrassment while Australia is trying to salvage the tournament by winning a match they're "supposed to win." Even though the Aussies were trounced by 73 runs vs. India, Bangladesh hasn't won once.
Bangladeshi captain Mushfiqur Rahim believes his side had a chance to upset Pakistan, and thought they fell because of just two bad overs.
"I thought the spinners bowled very well-Shakib, Razzak and [Mahmudullah] Riyad-but one over from Mashrafe and one over from Zia cost us the match. When you are giving 20-odd runs in one over it's very difficult to come back."
If so, then they have a puncher's chance vs. Australia. If the Aussies are to hold off the scrappy Bangladesh bunch they'll need Glenn Maxwell to step up again, as he's the only Aussie batsman with over 100 runs.
