The NFL Draft is inching ever closer and the process of assessing and grading players is different for every scout and executive. One anonymous high ranking executive took the time to completely rip into this year's tight end class and pulled no punches.

The executive spoke about what he thought of Eric Ebron, the draft's highest ranked tight end who has been mocked as high as the Buffalo Bills at ninth overall.

"He's OK. He's completely overrated, and he's a pain in the (butt)," an AFC personnel executive told NJ.com. "And don't ask him to block anybody, because he's not going to do it."

Ebron is someone I am particularly high on and like with most things people have different opinions on the players entering the NFL. After attacking Ebron, he went on to go after Austin Seferian-Jenkins and the rest of the second day tight end prospects.

"He's more overrated and a bigger pain in the (butt) than the other guy," he said. "And he blocks like a wide receiver. I don't want any part of him.”

As a whole he denounced the class and didn’t refer to other highly coveted players such as Texas Tech’s Jace Amaro.

"It's not good at all. I wish it was. But it's not," he added. "It's actually a bad year for tight ends. There's nobody even close to (Tyler) Eifert (drafted No. 21 by Bengals last year). (Eagles 2013 second-rounder Zach) Ertz is better than these guys.”

I still see Ebron being the next big thing at tight end and could develop into a blocker as well. The Bills, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets are all teams that have been been rumored to be interested in Ebron.
