Just to make sure Brent Musburger and every other single male understood that A.J. McCarron's engagement to Katherine Webb wasn't a hoax, Webb took to Twitter with a follow-up to her initial tweet announcing their impending union.

Extramustard.si.com posted a tweet from Webb that showed a photo from their engagement cake, complete with an edible Alabama football helmet as the groom's cake.

Webb announced their engagement on Friday. McCarron currently is working out in hopes of landing a job with the NFL via the draft in May. He took time from his busy schedule to add to the Twitter reports.

AL.com called Webb and McCarron Alabama's most famous couple and reported that McCarron proposed at a restaurant in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

The confirmation also puts a small damper on the speculation that McCarron and Webb were going through a rough patch in their relationship shortly after Musburger made Webb famous with his on-air rant during the BCS national championship game in 2013.

According to hollywoodlife.com, "reports surfaced that (McCarron) was jealous of his suddenly-famous girlfriend and was encouraging her to drop out of interviews - which is kind of insane. Later, Katherine told TMZ that her 'decision to cancel the interviews was not made at A.J.'s request,' that she didn't want their relationship to be about 'celebrity status,' and that 'he's a guy [she] can see [herself] having a real future with.' "

She was prophetic.

Perhaps Webb's next tweet will be of the location she and McCarron will marry.
