KNICKS vs LAKERS Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from Los Angeles

Tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET at the Staples Center, two of the NBA's most storied franchises will clash in a battle that may just serve as recruitment film for Timberwolves forward Kevin Love in 2015. The Knicks still have postseason dreams this year, and looked like they were making a serious run before an eight-game winning streak was snapped by the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers.

"This was a huge opportunity lost, one we can't afford," swingman J.R. Smith said. "But we can't get it back. We've just got to go on the road, win some games and try to come back home and win." The Knicks have feasted on a soft slate in March, and won a biggie vs. the East-leading Pacers, but need to regain their mojo after the Cavs shocker.

"It's tough. We should've won this game. We gave it away," Carmelo Anthony said. "They earned it, they beat us. We didn't play well coming down the stretch or in the second half and they did. But it's behind us now, there's nothing we can do about that."

The Knicks are now embarking on a five-game West coast swing, but three of those games are against Western cellar-dwellers that are potentially tanking.

However, don't expect L.A. to just roll over for the Knicks because they have more to play for, according to center Jordan Hill, a former Knicks draft pick.

"We're playing for pride," Hill said. "I mean, we're still the Lakers. We're definitely one of the top organizations in the league, if not the best. So we have to take a stand for ourselves. We can't quit and we've got to keep fighting."
