Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams was admitted to the hospital with a stab wound he suffered in his leg at his home Sunday. Williams is okay after the minor stabbing and his brother Eric Baylor is the prime suspect.

The Buccaneers released a statement concerning Williams via Twitter around 8:30 Sunday.

"We are aware of the situation that occurred at the residence of Mike Williams and are working with him and the authorities to get additional information. While we have limited knowledge at this time, our primary concern is for the safety and well being of all involved. We will refrain from further comment until we can get a better understanding of the situation.”

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office near Tampa issued an arrest warrant Sunday night for Baylor in connection with the alleged aggravated battery/domestic violence.

Williams has had multiple off the field incidents since signing his six-year, $40.25 million deal with the Buccaneers last year including misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and trespassing. New Bucs coach Lovie Smith commented on Williams back in February and has not commented on the latest incident which was described as a domestic dispute and not simple horseplay.

"There's a pattern here and it's disturbing. No one is bigger than this football team. He has to understand that.”

The Buccaneers have a decision to make on Williams’ future in Tampa and Williams needs to get his life in order before something worse than a “minor laceration” happens to him.
