The inmate Aaron Hernandez is accused of attacking during a jailhouse brawl while the man was still handcuffed has been released from the Bristol County Jail where both were being held.

TMZ Sports reports 25-year-old Andrew Booker was released on Saturday after being held on drug and gun charges. The 24-year-old Hernandez, meanwhile, remains jailed and held without bail on first-degree murder charges in the killing of one-time associate Odin Lloyd late last June.

Investigators have since speculated Lloyd may have been killed based on his knowledge of other violent crimes the former New England Patriots tight end is alleged to have been involved in.

In last month's brawl, Booker's attorney told TMZ his client suffered cuts, bruises and scrapes after being attacked by Hernandez, but has decided not to cooperate with authorities now seeking to criminally charge Hernandez in the attack because he did not want to be perceived as a "rat."

The website adds the skirmish stemmed from a verbal dispute the two men were having and Booker is now considering taking legal action against the Bristol County Sheriff's Office for allowing the attack to take place.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty in the Lloyd killing and is expected to go on trial sometime later this year.
