The Miami Heat continued its downward spiral on Saturday after losing to the New Orleans Pelicans 105-95, their seventh loss in the last 11 games, and All-Star Chris Bosh was the first to say a deprecating comment on his team's effort.

"So I figure I'll be the first one to say 'We suck,'" he said as reported by the Miami Herald. "This is unacceptable. If we don't change this, we will be watching the championship from home."

Though the Heat were without star guard Dwyane Wade and back-up big man Greg Oden, the loss to the lottery-bound Pelicans left them frustrated.

Four-time MVP LeBron James said his team's lack of focus that have led them to lose 12 games against teams with a losing record. He told the same media outlet: "Too many excuses. We've got to stop excuses. Guys on the floor need to produce. It's that simple."

He continued: "We can't relax versus teams we're supposed to beat," James said before the game. "Not saying we're entitled to win, but we don't focus the whole game."

Defense has been a chink in the armor of the Heat, and Bosh was honest in assessing that. He told ESPN.com: "No offense to the Pelicans, but we've been losing to sub-.500 teams for a month now. Defensively, we can't stop a nosebleed. This team got everything they wanted. The only person that's going to help us out of this is the person staring back in the mirror. Until we recognize that ... we'll keep getting the same result. We need that competitive drive back. We don't have it."
