Tonight at 8;40 p.m. ET, No. 12 Harvard (27-4, 13-1 Ivy) and No. 4 Michigan State (27-8, 12-6 Big 10) tip off live from the Spokane Arena in Washington as part of the NCAA March Madness Tournament for Round 3 action in the Eastern bracket. The game can be live streamed for free here and viewed on TNT. Harvard fans can hear all of the action on WHRB 95.3 while Michigan fans can do the same on 1240 WJIM.
Harvard is coming off of a 61-57 victory over Cincinnati while Michigan State rolls in off of a 93-78 triumph over Delaware.
The Crimson look to bounce back from a 23-point loss to Arizona at this stage in last year's events while the Spartans look to continue playing better than the fourth seed in which they are after a very successful March.
Michigan coach Tom Izzo knows his team may be in for a challenge.
"I was hoping for a forfeit, if I was to tell you the honest-to-God truth," Izzo told ESPN.
Adreian Payne is coming off of a career 41-point day and will look to push his team to the next stage of the tournament with another strong performance.
Harvard is looking to pull off an upset like many other teams have done thus far in this tournament.
"Whether it's us or anybody else, you just have to be better that day, and maybe a team doesn't play as well as they're capable of playing that day," Harvard coach Tommy Amaker told ESPN.
Harvard has taken many steps forward in its basketball program over the last few years and will look to continue that trend by defeating Michigan today.
"We're getting better and better slowly, so obviously, the next step would be to win two games in the NCAA tournament," senior Brandyn Curry said per ESPN. "That's what we're aiming to do. At least."
Wesley Saunders leads the Crimson with 14.0 points per game while Gary Harris paces the Spartans with 17.1.
Harvard and Michigan State take the court tonight in Spokane as part of the 2014 NCAA March Madness tournament.
