Jim Calhoun to Boston College? Legendary retired coach, Eagles have mutual interest? [VIDEO]

The madness continues in March, but this time not on the court. Stop the presses-- legendary UConn head coach Jim Calhoun has interest in coaching again and at Boston College.

Calhoun retired in 2012 due to lingering health issues in his hip and back and at the time was sure it was time for him to step away from the game. Calhoun is apparently feeling better and has "significant interest" in coaching the Eagles according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman. Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski is also reporting the mutual interest between BC and Calhoun.

This would be a huge deal for college basketball and even bigger for a BC program that hasn't had much success as of late. Calhoun has three National Championships and 877 wins on his resume and if nothing else would bring some excitement to a Boston College campus that hasn’t made the tournament since 2009 and hasn't gotten out of the first round since 2007. If Calhoun returns he would be within a stones throw of passing Dean Smith (879) and Bob Knight (899) on the all time wins list.
