LeBron James has his own new Sprite soft drink after the company announced plans on Wednesday for a limited-edition launch later this year.

According to ESPN, the lemon-lime flavored drink with cherry and orange will be be available nationwide in 19.2 ounce cans and 20-ounce bottles.

"I never imagined I would have my own flavor someday," the two-time defending league champ and Miami Heat star said in a statement. "I had a great time working with the Sprite team to turn my favorite flavors into a pretty cool variation of one of my favorite brands. I'm proud of what we created and I'm excited for my fans to try it."

The four-time league MVP has had a deal with the Coca-Cola brand since his rookie season. ESPN reports Sprite is the sixth-largest soft drink in the U.S. by market share with an overall share of 4.6 percent of the soft drink segment. Only Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Coke and Dr Pepper are larger.

The website adds among all major brands, Sprite had the biggest volume growth at a rise of 0.6 percent in 2013.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old James is enjoying yet another stellar season, averaging team highs of 26 points and seven rebounds. James and the Heat are seeking to join Michael Jordan's Bulls and and Kobe Bryant's Lakers as the only NBA teams to earn a three-peat over the last two decades.
