Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Tampa Bay Lightning (37-24-7, 81 points) and Toronto Maple Leafs (36-26-8, 80 points) faceoff for the first of four meetings against each other this season live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The game can be live streamed here. Tampa Bay fans can hear all of the action on WFLA 970 while Toronto fans can do the same on TSN 1050.
Tampa Bay has won three straight games while Toronto will look to avoid a three-game skid. Toronto has won the first two meetings these teams have had this season.
The Lightning will try to keep stacking up points after grabbing points in five straight.
"We've got points in five consecutive games at a time when we really need them, so hopefully this is some good momentum heading on the road," coach Jon Cooper said following a 4-3 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday, according to NHL.com.
Toronto will be looking to jump ahead of the Lightning in the standings.
"We have to come to play [Thursday] and get the two points," said defenseman Jake Gardiner via NHL.com.
Phil Kessel (34-39-73), James van Riemsdyk (27-29-56) and Nazem Kadri (17-29-46) have paced the Maple Leafs while Valtteri Filppula (22-27-49), Ondrej Palat (18-28-46) and Victor Hedman (11-32-43) have led the Lightning.
Ben Bishop will likely man the crease for Tampa Bay and is 32-11-6 with a 2.11 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage while James Reimer will likely suit up for Toronto due to an injury to Jonathan Bernier, and is 11-10-1 with a 3.21 GAA and a .931 save percentage.
Two division rivals go head-to-head when the puck drops tonight on the Lightning and Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.
