Mired in one of the worst seasons and losing streaks in NBA history, the Philadelphia 76ers have Kansas freshman forward Andrew Wiggins at the top of their draft board and are salivating at the idea of being able to team him with 2013 lottery pick point-guard Michael Carter-Williams.

According to Fansided.com, Sixers management is intrigued by the idea of building around an athletic trio of Carter-Williams, Thaddeus Young and Wiggins. Kentucky center Nerlens Noel, whom the Sixers selected with the No. 6 pick in last year's draft, is also expected to recovered from ACL surgery and ready to play by then.

The 15-52 Sixers are in the midst of a 21-game losing streak , performing so abysmally in some of those losses many have openly accused the franchise of tanking.

In the soon-to-be 19-old, ultrally athletic Wiggins, the franchise senses its best shot at instant redemption. The son of former NBA guard Mitchell Wiggins, the Jayhawk star is averaging 17 points, six rebounds and two assists this season, including games of 41 and 30 points since fellow freshmen star Joel Embiid went down with a back injury.
