CM Punk hasn't appeared on WWE television since the Royal Rumble after walking out prior to the next night's live Monday Night RAW telecast, however "The Best in the World" will appear on T.V. screens once again on Sunday night when he joins AMC's Talking Dead television show that analyzes the night's live episode of The Walking Dead. The WWE is reportedly miffed by his appearance, but do they have the right to be?

The WWE is angry at CM Punk for appearing on Talking Dead

The WWE is upset that Punk will once again appear on the show Talking Dead following Sunday's brand new episode of the ratings-hit zombie show The Walking Dead due to the fact that he hasn't honored his WWE contract in recent months. While fans are so quick to point their fingers at the WWE for not appeasing Punk, the Superstar is also in the wrong for his unprofessional behavior by walking out.

Punk has been mostly silent since he walked out of the company in January due to being burned out with the traveling schedule and that he was annoyed at the way the company has used him. Punk is under contract until July, but was reportedly upset with Batista winning the Royal Rumble as well as his rumored upcoming match with Triple H at WrestleMania XXX.

Punk was reportedly set to face Triple H at the biggest show of the year, while it has always been his dream to main event a WrestleMania for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. With his contract set to expire in July and him not able to main event, Punk left the company.

He'll make his first televised appearance on Talking Dead this coming Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT live on AMC, and the WWE is reportedly very upset that he'll be on the show. He will reportedly make the appearance under his real name of Phil Brooks, and not the "CM Punk" moniker.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reported that the WWE was bitter over the fact that Punk would travel all the way to Los Angeles to film Talking Dead but that he wouldn't come to RAW on March 3 in his hometown of Chicago to talk with WWE officials and CEO Vince McMahon to try to work out the problems that led to his departure.

There were rumors that Punk would return that night, however they never came to fruition as "The Best in the World" was once again a no-show at the tapings. A feeling of uncertainty has also gone through the company as the WWE doesn't know what he'll say -- if anything -- about the company on the show.

While it is easy to sympathize with Punk due to the fact that the WWE makes loads of money off of his merchandise and doesn't give him the main event spot he covets at WrestleMania, it is wrong of Punk to be so stubborn and not even meet with the WWE to try and work out his ill feelings towards the company.

Yes, Punk has traveled the world and taxed his body only to be sauntered down to the middle of the card at WrestleMania in years past in favor of returning WWE Superstars that spent time away from the company, but Punk has a contractual agreement to perform for the company until July.

Punk signed a legally-binding contract with the WWE to wrestle and/or appear at all of the shows he is required to until the pact expires, and the past two months he hasn't honored that.

HIs appearance on the show is a slap in the face to the WWE and its fans, who shill out money for his merchandise but don't get to see him perform when he's supposed to. While it's understandable for Punk to be burned out from the WWE's ridiculous never-ending schedule, he knew that's what was required of him when he signed the dotted line.

I'd love to see Punk in the main event of WrestleMania XXX as much as the rest of his fans do, but the truth is he's acted like a baby since walking out on the company by not even trying to compromise with them.

Punk has a legitimate gripe with the company --no argument here-- but there have been plenty of frustrated wrestlers throughout the years that at least stuck to their word and honored their contract.

Punk is great at what he does and some may even agree that he lives up to his "Best in the World" moniker, but the way he's handled the situation since walking out on the company is an insult to the WWE and fans of CM Punk and wrestling in general.
