Twitter has been littered with free agency news and trades from the NFL, but something that might have went under the radar in the madness was a good ol’ fashioned Twitter war. The combatants: Patriots' LeGarrette Blount and Seahawks' Richard Sherman.
Blount took to Twitter to congratulate his former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots teammate Aqib Talib on his new massive contract with the Broncos. He took the chance to call Talib the best cornerback in the league. As one would expect on Twitter at this point, Sherman did not take kindly to the title Blount gave Talib.
Sherman helped escalate the war when he and Blount's conversation went personal and it went on for a few tweets.
And then Sherman just had enough of the conversation and dropped the mic on Blount, the Patriots and the hearts of their fans.
Thanks for coming out everyone and drive home safely, flawless victory Mr. Sherman. Twitter will soon write a rule about what happens when you challenge Sherman via social media or in life, ask Skip Bayless.
