While CM Punk likely won't be seen on WWE television anytime soon, he is scheduled to appear Sunday night on AMC's Talking Dead which airs right after a new episode of the ratings-hit The Walking Dead. Punk is booked by his real name Phil Brooks on the appearance and the WWE is reportedly upset with Punk for taking part on the show.

Punk left the WWE on the night after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and hasn't appeared on WWE television since storming out just hours prior to a live Monday Night RAW telecast on Jan. 27 due to being upset about the way his character was used as well as the fact that he wouldn't be able to main event this year's WrestleMania with his contract expiring in July. Punk was supposed to face Triple H at the event.

On Sunday, Talking Dead will be his first television appearance since leaving the WWE, and Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that there is some bitterness backstage within the WWE because executives. They are upset that Punk would travel all the way to Los Angeles to be on the Talking Dead show, while he couldn't be bothered to show up to WWE television to at least talk to someone face-to-face prior to the Chicago episode of RAW on March 3 about his situation.

There is reportedly also a feeling of uncertainty because no one knows what Punk will say, if anything, about his WWE career on the show and him walking out.

Another thing that may make WWE officials upset is the fact that Punk's friend and UFC fighter Chael Sonnen discussed Punk not being on WWE television and WrestleMania XXX recently. According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Sonnen appeared on TSN's Off the Record and in Canada this week and was asked about Punk leaving WWE as Punk is a friend of his.

Sonnen told the show that he didn't know what Punk was doing and whether or not he would be at WrestleMania XXX on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Sonnen then said that Stephanie McMahon, daughter of WWE CEO Vince McMahon and wife of Triple H would know.

Sonnen then held up a piece of paper with Stephanie McMahon's personal cell phone number on it and told fans to call the number. Sonnen then told Stephanie to, "Tell Hunter I just played the game."

The show blurred out the number, but according to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the producers called and later verified that it was in fact her real number.

Punk will appear on Talking Dead this Sunday, but it's unlikely he'll be on WWE television anytime soon.
