The Oakland Raiders have had themselves an interesting off season. They signed the worst deal of the first day in Rodger Saffold, only to get it nullified because Saffold failed his physical in Oakland. Now the Raiders are hosting Justin Tuck, Lamarr Woodley and Terrell Thomas to try and build a better defense. Justin Tuck, in particular, seems to be the Raiders priority one this free agency.
Rodger Saffold deal Nullified? Best Raider move of 2014?
Tuck will be 31 years old this month, but is coming off an 11-sack effort for the New York Giants in 2013. Tuck would bring a veteran presence to a team in dire need of it, and the championship pedigree Tuck established in New York could work wonders in Oakland.
Raiders and Goodell win Free Agency Day Two?
The Raiders have a ton of money to spend and have started their search for the right veterans to fill all the holes on the team. The Raiders can still be saved and it starts in 2014 with their $60 million in cap space and high drafts picks. Tuck would bring a nice combination of professionalism and swagger that the Raiders lost in Lamarr Houston and Richard Seymour before him.
