It was revealed on this week's episode of WWE SmackDown that was filmed on Tuesday night and is set to air this Friday that Carlos Colon will be the newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Colon was announced as the newest entrant into the Hall of Fame on SmackDown with a video montage, instead of on Monday Night RAW which is usually the customary way the WWE announces inductees.

Media reports out of Puerto Rico indicate that Colon will be inducted at the New Orleans Arena on April 5, the eve of WrestleMania XXX, by his sons Carlito and Primo (Diego) as well as his nephew Epico (Fernando).

With Colon being added into the ceremony, he joins a list of names for the 2014 Hall of Fame class that includes former WWE Superstars The Ultimate Warrior and Jake "The Snake" Roberts, former WWE Diva Lita and former and late WWE manager Paul Bearer.

While it's unknown who will induct Lita and Paul Bearer, though The Undertaker makes sense for the latter, Linda McMahon will induct The Ultimate Warrior and Diamond Dallas Page will introduce Jake "The Snake" Roberts at the event.

There have been plenty of rumors regarding members being enshrined into the Hall of Fame this year, including former wrestler Scott Hall and former Diva Stacy Keibler.

While Keibler remains a long-shot, Stephanie McMahon was reportedly very active in trying to land her last month.

Hall hinted on Twitter a few weeks ago that he would be inducted this year, but then took it back possibly as a way to avoid spoiling it before the WWE announced it. Sean "X-Pac" Waltman then confirmed at an appearance that he'd be in New Orleans during WrestleMania weekend to induct Hall, but while rumors have circulated that the announcement by the WWE was imminent, nothing has been confirmed thus far.

Before the WWE brings WrestleMania XXX live from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on April 6, it will stop to honor its legends the night before at the New Orleans Arena when it inducts influential Superstars and Divas into the WWE Hall of Fame.
