Remember a few weeks ago when that player that you hadn’t heard of left the Combine on pure faith, still in his workout gear never to be seen again? Well his saga has had more developments than anyone would have imagined. San Diego State running back Adam Muema is having himself a, lets say, interesting draft scouting process. Muema abruptly left the Combine after saying he had a vision that he would be drafted by his favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks. Muema has gone as far changing his Twitter profile to “Seahawks #8,” based off his vision. After the combine Muema dropped off the grid completely.
Minnesota Rep. tweets implied racism toward NBA?
On Feb. 26th the news broke that Muema wasn’t seen since he left the Combine and the people closest to him had grown concerned for his well being. This curious story took a turn for the worse and, if something tragic did happen, it could have been prevented.
Muema resurfaced two days later in a Fort Lauderdale airport in the city he trained in for the combine. Muema was picked up, still wearing his combine gear, and returned to society to the delight of his inner circle. Muema’s training partner, Oklahoma linebacker Corey Nelson, received the phone call from Muema asking him to pick him up. Nelson commented on what Muema told him.
“He said he was at the airport for three days straight. He was telling me when I picked him up that God told him to stay at the airport and don’t do anything, just stay there. That’s what he did for three days straight. On the fourth day, he told me he couldn’t do it anymore. He decided to call me.”

Since then Muema has been quiet until early this morning, when around midnight Muema sent out a curious tweet about the state of football and …… planet Earth?
Muema likely won’t be drafted and was a borderline draft prospect before all of this happened. Time will tell what the next chapter of the saga will be and if Muema will ever be an NFL athlete.
