Tony Parker scored 20 points as the San Antonio Spurs eased past the Brooklyn Nets 104-73 to register their sixth straight victory.
For the Spurs, Tim Duncan contributed with 15 points and made seven out of 12 attempts from the field, while Nando DeColo added 11 points. Kawhi Leonard, Tiago Splitter and Matt Bonner had 10 points apiece against the Nets.
San Antonio scored 31 points and allowed the Nets to add only 22 in the first quarter. Brooklyn outscored the Spurs 25-24 in the second quarter, but San Antonio entered the second half with an eight-point lead.
The Spurs completely outshined the Nets in the third quarter as they players added 30 points. Duncan scored seven and Parker had five points, whereas the Nets missed six 3-point attempts.
"It was bad all the way around -- offensively and defensively," the Associated Press quoted Deron Williams as saying. "We just couldn't put the ball in the basket. We couldn't get stops. We turned the ball over in the quarter."
For the Nets, MarShon Brooks was the top scorer with 16 points, Joe Johnson had 12 points and Brook Lopez finished with 11 points and five rebounds against the Spurs.
The first four minutes of the third quarter took away Brooklyn's chances of a victory, with Spurs going on a 10-0 run.
No Brooklyn player, other than Williams scored any point in the lopsided third quarter and the Nets missed 12 shots in the period.
"We played great defense in the third quarter," Parker said. "We tried to make an effort defensively and coach (Gregg) Popovich has been talking a lot about that and it has been a huge improvement for us the last two games. Defense has been great and we are on the right track."
With the help of 11 assists and 13 shots out of 19 attempts from the field, the Spurs added 30 points in the third quarter, while the Nets had only five.
The Spurs entered the fourth quarter with an 85-52 lead. The Nets outscored San Antonio 21-19 in the fourth quarter, but lost the game by 31 points.
