Aaron Hernandez murder case update: Prosecutors seek jailhouse calls NFL vet made in 'coded language' [VIDEO]

Prosecutors in the Aaron Hernandez murder case were scheduled to appear in a Fall River Superior Court on Friday to seek a judge's approval in gaining access to the former NFL star's jailhouse calls they allege capture him communicating in "coded language" in talking about the crime he is accused of.

According to ESPN, Hernandez was captured in several calls discussing the June 17, execution style killing of Odin Lloyd, whose bullet-riddled body was found less than a mile from his North Attleborough mansion.

ESPN reports prosecutors are seeking to have the Bristol county sheriff turn over records of visits related to Hernandez's visitors since he's been incarcerated without bail and relegated to solitary confinement over the last eight months.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty in the killing of Lloyd, a one-time associate investigators theorize may have been killed because he had knowledge of other violent crimes he is alleged to have been connected with.

In a second and separate investigation, Boston police have linked Hernandez and associate Alexander Bradley to a double homicide in Boston in July of 2012 that remains unsolved.

Police have stated they believe Hernandez and Bradley were in an SUV when someone inside the vehicle fatally shot Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and Safiro Teixeira Furtado in a drive-by slaying.
