Elimination Chamber 2014 Rumors [VIDEO]: Brock Lesnar to appear at the event? Other rumored matches

With the WWE's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view coming up on Feb. 23 live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, there has been speculation that Brock Lesnar won't be appearing since he completed all of his scheduled dates through the pay-per-view, however rumor has it that the WWE may in fact be using Lesnar at the event after all.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Lesnar isn't scheduled to return to WWE television for several weeks, but there is a strong speculation that he may very well appear at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, especially since it takes place from his hometown of Minneapolis.

It is unknown in what capacity Lesnar would be involved in the event, but he could very well end up in the six-man Chamber match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The current field for the match includes champion Randy Orton, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Christian and Antonio Cesaro, however that could change.

Reports last week indicated that even though Christian was put into the match, the WWE was using him with the idea that if they found a solid replacement, they would have that person take out Christian backstage and take his spot, and Lesnar fits the bill of possibly being the one to take out Christian and enter the match.

There were rumors that the WWE may have changed their plans for WrestleMania XXX and had the idea of pitting Lesnar against Batista, leading to the possibility that Lesnar could win the match then face "The Animal'--who won the Royal Rumble--for the title on April 6.

While that is a possibility, reports this week indicated that the plans weren't expected to change much and Batista was still set to face Orton on April 6 in New Orleans while Lesnar would take on The Undertaker, leading to the notion that Orton may retain the gold in the Chamber match.

With Batista out of the Chamber match, he is likely to face Alberto Del Rio at the event, while a rumored CM Punk and Kane match has been thrown out with Punk recently walking out on the company.

A rumored tag team match pitting Cody Rhodes and Goldust against the New Age Outlaws may happen at the Elimination Chamber, with there being speculation that Rhodes and Goldust will lose the match and split up, leading to a clash between the brothers at WrestleMania XXX.

The only two confirmed matches for the pay-per-view thus far are the Chamber match and a six-man tag match pitting The Shield against The Wyatt Family.

With the event taking place in Lesnar's hometown, it is possible he'll appear at the Elimination Chamber on Feb. 23.
