Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET the white-hot Oklahoma City Thunder (37-10), winners of nine straight games, will head to Brooklyn to square off with the Nets (20-23) who have won eight of their last 10 games. Kevin Durant will be shooting for a whopping 13th consecutive game in which he scores 30 or more points. In his last game he dropped 33 on LeBron James and the Miami Heat in South Beach. OKC must now guard against a letdown game following their breakthrough victory.

"I've scored points before in this league, it's not like this is totally new to me. But this long of a stretch of 30 points, I guess, is different for me," said Durant, who is scoring 38 a night during this streak. "I'm just trying to do whatever my team needs, night in and night out, to figure out what we need to do to win a basketball game."

He's right about that, as he's averaging a career-high 5.2 assists per game. Right now he's on pace to become the first player since Michael Jordan during the 1991-1992 season to average 30 points and five assists while shooting over 50 percent from the field.

Brooklyn won't just lay down though. Brooklyn overcame a deficit the last time these teams met and handed OKC one of just three home losses. The Nets will be trying to recover from a brutal loss to the Toronto Raptors in a game that turned on a Deron Williams turnover.

"I can't take it back," Williams said afterward. "It's not my first time turning the ball over to lose the game, and probably won't be my last, so we just have to respond on Friday."
