Mike Pettine Daughter Tweet: Browns Coaching Search Ends With Pettine Hire But His Daughter Isn't a Big Fan [VIDEO]

Now that Mike Pettine has he Cleveland Browns head coaching job, his harshest critics may not be Browns fans; they may be his own family.

The Browns named the longtime defensive assistant coach who worked for the Buffalo Bills last season as their new head coach Thursday, replacing Rob Chudzinski. Chudzinski was fired after one season on the job.

Browns owner Jimmy Haslam confirmed to ohio.com that the team interviewed 10 candidates for the position, and candidate after candidate seemingly withdrew his name from contention.

Pettine doesn't care that he wasn't the Browns' first choice for the job.

"I wasn't going to be like, 'Well, if I'm not the first choice then, I'm not going to take it,' " he said. "It's been my lifelong dream to be an NFL head coach and however that opportunity presents itself is fine with me."

Profootballzone.com, however, posted a tweet that came last week from Pettine's daughter, Megan Pettine, after the Browns asked Pettine back for a second interview. While she seemingly didn't care about the pecking order, she didn't seem too impressed with the organization that had the job her father wanted.

Apparently responding to one of her friends, @MeganPettine tweeted, "@stunnamcdunna19 possibility, he said the interview went well and he's going back for a second! It's the browns.. But hey, still pretty cool."

After Pettine accepted the job, he told reporters that he and his daughter had an impromptu discussion about the joys and drawbacks of social media.

The Akron Beacon Journal's Nate Ulrich tweeted, "New #Browns HC Mike Pettine said he had a very long father-daughter conversation after Megan Pettine drew attention with tweet last week."

LarryBrownSports.com added that the Cleveland Plain Dealer's May Kay Cabot tweeted that Mike Pettine said ""She spent her formative years in Balt where she learned not to like the #Browns..no choice she's a browns fan(.)''
