Chandler Parsons' career high 31 coupled with James Harden's 33 points guided the Houston Rockets past Jeremy Lin's former team the New York Knicks 131-103.

In a high-scoring matchup, Jeremy Lin contributed with 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists in his first game against his previous team.

The Rockets led the Kincks in all four quarters of the game. In the first quarter the Knicks were trailing by three points. Houston outscored the opponents 37-25 in the second quarter.

The Rockets added 10 straight points in the third quarter to take their lead to 21. They went into fourth quarter with a 24-point lead over the Knicks.

For the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony had 37 points, which is his highest total of the current season, whereas Raymond Felton notched 17 points and eight assists.

Lin had a very successful season last year with the Kincks, when he scored 20 or more points in nine games.

"I'm not looking to recreate what happened in New York," said Lin. "I want to be a consistent player. I want to get better. I don't know what my potential is. I don't know if I can play any better than I did during that stretch, but I'm going to find out to see how close I can get."

Lin will next play New York at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 17.

"I thought this was one of Jeremy's better games," Houston interim coach Kelvin Sampson said. "He attacked and played with swagger tonight, and that was good to see."

Parsons scored 18 points in the first quarter and until the end of the second quarter he had already pocketed 26 points to better his record of 25 points. He shot a brilliant 13 of 17 from the field.

"Chandler's just a winner," Sampson said. "Right now he's just in a groove."

In the fourth quarter the Rockets scored 27 points against New York's 23 and won the game. Their score of 131 points is highest by any team this season.

"They beat us in every way you can beat a team," Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. "I know throughout the course of the year or the season you have games like this, but it's not acceptable. We just weren't ready to play and that's on me."
