Aaron Hernandez Murder Case Update: No New England Patriots Have Visited Former Teammate In Jail [VIDEO]

No members of the New England Patriots team have visited former teammate Aaron Hernandez in the eight months since he's been jailed on first-degree murder charges, according to TMZ.com.

The website reports officials at the Bristol County Jail where Hernandez remains held without bail and relegated to solitary confinement confirm none of his former teammates have so much as applied for the right to visit the 24-year-old Hernandez.

According to TMZ, Hernandez is allowed an hour a week for visits and is further allowed to divide that time up between as many as five visitors---one at a time--- provided they have been approved in advance by the appropriate authorities. The website adds no member of the Patriot organization is listed on the rostrum of approved visitors.

The Patriots immediately severed all ties with Hernandez shortly after he was formally charged in the killing of Odin Lloyd last June. The 27-year-old one-time semi-pro football player's bullet-riddled body was found less than a mile from Hernandez's North Attleborough mansion.

Through the NFL's players association, Hernandez has since sued the team for nonpayment on a signing bonus he was owed and is also seeking to have at least a portion of the five-year $40 million extension he signed with the team prior to being charged still honored.
