Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao September 2014? Source: 'Fight Is Already Done' [VIDEO]

Interesting news has broken in the boxing world to ring in the new year, as 78 Sports TV, a YouTube boxing channel, has reported Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be fighting Manny Pacquiao in September 2014, and that the match "is already done."

The 78 Sports anchor says in the YouTube post that he was informed by a source of Floyd's plan to face Pacman in September. This unnamed source also had the inside scoop on Mayweather fighting both Robert Guerrero and Canelo Alvarez before those matches were announced.

"Great news in the world of boxing. He [the source] is telling me that Floyd and Manny Pacquiao will be fighting in 2014 guaranteed and it's already done," the anchor says. "Everything else that you will see will be just theatrics from here on out. But the fight is already done."

If "everything else" is just an act, then Floyd Mayweather Jr. may be as accomplished a thespian as he is an in-ring tactician. Very recently Mayweather put the kibosh on the Manny talk because of his poor relations with Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who promotes Pacquiao.

"We all know the Pacquiao fight, at this particular time, will never happen, and the reason why the fight won't happen is because I will never do business with Bob Arum again in life, and Pacquiao is Bob Arum's fighter," Mayweather told FightHype.com.

"Bob Arum gives Pacquiao a date, whereas Floyd Mayweather gives Floyd Mayweather his own date. I will be fighting again in May and I will be fighting again in September."

The key words there may have been "at this time," though. Currently Mayweather is searching for an opponent in May. The theory of a planned Pacquiao fight in September could explain Floyd's willingness to grant a title shot to Amir Khan, despite a spotty chin and knockout loss to Danny Garcia, who has received little attention from The Money Team.

Perhaps Khan's skills and hand speed will be used as a tune-up of sorts before he steps in the ring with his greatest rival.
