WWE Royal Rumble 2014 Rumors [VIDEO]: Brock Lesnar To Face Big Show At PPV After Destroying Mark Henry?

Brock Lesnar returned on Monday night's edition of Monday Night RAW and speculation backstage with WWE creative is that Lesnar will take on The Big Show at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event on Jan. 26 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh despite the fact that it was Mark Henry who Lesnar attacked on RAW.

Lesnar came out on RAW with his manager Paul Heyman and let it be known that he wants to face the winner of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between John Cena and Randy Orton that will main event the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Lesnar also said he didn't feel he had to win the 30-man over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match to earn a title shot.

It is a curious move that the WWE will not be putting Lesnar or Cena in the Royal Rumble match to add to the star power, but it appears the WWE will have Lesnar in a singles match on the card. Lesnar challenged anyone on RAW to come out and stop him and Mark Henry obliged him.

Henry and Lesnar brawled on RAW, but the segment ended with a dominant Lesnar hitting an F-5 on Henry on the floor. While it would appear that these events set up a match between the two wrestlers for the Royal Rumble, reports indicate the WWE is leaning towards pushing for a Lesnar vs. The Big Show altercation at the event.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the WWE was planning on putting the Big Show and Lesnar match on at the Royal Rumble at some point in the past, but it is unclear if the plan for the encounter is still in the works. The report indicates that The Big Show will return to RAW next week and it will be seen after his comeback whether or not the WWE decides to go with the match at their first pay-per-view of the year.

Lesnar is expected to be a big part of the WrestleMania pay-per-view, with it appearing as though he will take on The Undertaker and his undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on April 6.

If the Lesnar and Big Show match goes down, it will be added to a card that already features Orton vs. Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a "traditional championship match" and the 30-man over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match featuring Batista's return to action.

The road to WrestleMania XXX kicks off with the Royal Rumble on Jan. 26, and there promises to be many twists and turns along the way.
