WWE Royal Rumble 2014 [VIDEO]: John Cena vs. Randy Orton Rematch Announced, Who Will Be Champion Heading Into WrestleMania?

The WWE has announced that John Cena and Randy Orton will have a rematch for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Jan. 26 Royal Rumble pay-per-view that will air live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. The title match and the 30-man over-the-top-rope elimination Royal Rumble match have thus far been the only two matches announced for the card.

Cena and Orton fought to unify the championship at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, in a match that saw Orton get the clean win over Cena to become the new unified champion. Stephanie McMahon announced on Monday's RAW that the two would go head-to-head one more time at the Royal Rumble and that the match will have no stipulations or interference and can only end in pinfall or submission.

McMahon called it a "traditional championship match" and it is supposed to have an old-school feel while only one winner will emerge. It will be interesting to see who the WWE decides to put the belt on as it has multiple plans for WrestleMania.

Reports have indicated that the returning Batista, who will be back on the Jan. 20 episode of RAW that airs six days prior to the Royal Rumble, will win the Royal Rumble match and go on to WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome to take on Orton for the gold.

It was strictly a rumor that Batista would win and that he'd face Orton for the title, but it is a growing possibility that Orton could retain and Batista could win the 30-man match.

It was revealed last week that the WWE had plans for Cena to face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania XXX and that the WWE is planning to push Wyatt heavily over the next few weeks.

There have been conflicting reports on the match, with one source saying that Cena will main event WrestleMania even if the title isn't on the line because he's the most popular superstar, while reports Monday indicated that the Cena and Wyatt match won't close the show.

If the belt is put on Cena, it would appear that Cena would take on Wyatt in the main event for the title at WrestleMania, which could mean that Wyatt wins the Royal Rumble match and Cena goes over Orton at the January pay-per-view.

WWE chairman Vince McMahon recently said that Cena has to be in the main event because of what he means to the company.

"Cena is the main event until his time is clearly up. That man feeds us!" McMahon reportedly said last week to writers and producers, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com.

It remains to be seen what will happen in the next three months as WrestleMania draws near, but there are many options that the WWE can decide to choose from starting with the Royal Rumble event on Jan. 26.
