Marcos Maidana Next Fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.? 'Chino' Responds To Twitter Taunt, Bashes Adrien Broner Too [VIDEO]

Over the holidays Floyd Mayweather Jr. was having the kind of fun only a man atop the sport of boxing can have. He unloaded a series of Photoshopped images featuring "Money" landing powerful punches on a number of fighters believed to be in the running to face him next.

One of them, Marcos "El Chino" Maidana, didn't exactly find the humor in Floyd's tweets. Mayweather had captioned a picture of him landing a shot on Maidana's face like this: "Can I please order a one-piece with that biscuit? No sides."

Maidana came back strong on his own social media outlets by lashing out at both Mayweather and his most recent opponent, Adrien "The Problem" Broner. "Hey champ! Your lil bro wasn't good enough for this 'biscuit' so who knows, maybe you're next in the family."

It should be noted Broner and Mayweather are not actually brothers; Broner is just a protégé of sorts for "Money." Broner adopted many of Mayweather's worst qualities, notably a shoulder roll defense that doesn't quite work for him as it does for his mentor, as well as an obnoxious persona both in and out of the ring.

He was the favorite against Maidana, but wilted under the pressure of a welterweight with true power befitting the class. Broner was floored twice and had drinks thrown on him as he hastily left the ring.

Maidana definitely became a part of the conversation for Mayweather's next opponent, but Amir Khan is almost equally as likely to nab that opportunity because of his large fan base that stretches into Great Britain as well as the Middle East.

Of course, the fight fans really would like to see is Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao, although Mayweather has repeatedly stated he refuses to work with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, and doesn't believe Pacquiao's "waning" PPV numbers warrant the shot.
