Batista WWE Return 2014 Update [VIDEO]: Dave Batista Being Advertised For February Shows, Will He Return For WrestleMania 30?

WWE officials are reportedly upset about news of a return for "The Animal" Dave Batista around WrestleMania 30 leaking out to the general public, furthering the speculation that a Batista return is in the works and that the rumors of such a return are true. Advertisements spoiling his return have been pulled by the WWE, but reports indicate that they are livid at the fact that his return was leaked.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that a Batista comeback for WrestleMania season was in the works and it was reported last week that WWE officials were talking backstage about bringing back "The Animal" for a program at the biggest show of the year on April 6 from New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The WWE is reportedly angry that advertisements for a non-televised live event at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Feb. 16 advertised Batista for the show and even featured a picture of him on the arena's website promoting the event. The advertisements have since been pulled from the site, however reports indicate that local radio ads are still promoting Batista to be at the event.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the advertisement said the following:

"WWE's Road to WrestleMania will make a stop at Las Vegas' Thomas and Mack Center on Sunday, February 16. Don't miss your favorite WWE Superstars including: CM Punk, The Shield, Big Show, Kane, the WWE Divas and much more! Plus, see the special return of "The Animal" Batista, LIVE!"

PWInsider then reported that the advertisement wasn't an accident and that a Batista return is imminent with the WWE reportedly planning to bring him back as a surprise entrant at this year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Jan. 26.

Batista, 44, has become an actor since departing the squared circle and was mulling a return to the WWE last spring but his schedule interfered with a possible return. He has had talks with Triple H in the past, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com.

Batista, who last appeared in a WWE match against Jon Cena in 2010, left the company because he wasn't happy with its family-friendly content, but said at the time he would never rule out a return to the organization.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Jeramie McPeek, Vice President of Digital Operations for the NBA's Phoenix Suns, revealed on Twitter Friday night that Batista would appear at another non-televised event, on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, but the tweet was quickly deleted.

It remains be seen what his main feud will be, but all signs indicate that six-time world champion Dave "The Animal" Batista will return for the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 30.
