Joe Flacco Greedy? Ravens Quarterback Photographed Standing in Line To Buy Lottery Tickets [VIDEO]

During the 2013 offseason, Joe Flacco signed a six-year, $120.6 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens. Apparently, he needs more money just to have as a nest egg.

BaltimoreRavens.com reported this week that the Ravens quarterback bought a lottery ticket last week, in search of the $648 million jackpot at the time.

This is the same Joe Flacco that is the highest-paid player in the NFL.

"It's a lot of money, man," Flacco told the baltimoreravens.com. "Since I've been 18 years old, I've always played the lottery when it gets up to a couple $100 million. It's just for fun."

Baltimoreravens.com reported that a fan exposed Flacco's little secret after he bumped into Flacco at a convenience store in Owings Mills, Md., just a few miles from the Ravens' training facility.

Rob Owen, a 22-year-old from nearby Finksburg, Md., was in line to buy lottery tickets but was standing at the wrong case register. According to baltimoreravens.com, Flacco passed in front of Owen when Owens switched lines.

"The guy behind me beat me to the end of the line," Owen told Baltimoreravens.com. "When I got there, I realized it was Joe. I was tongue tied."

Flacco eventually let Owen stand in line in front of him, the report said.

"I couldn't have him blaming me when I won and he lost and I didn't let him back where he was supposed to be," Flacco said. When asked what he would do if he won, he replied with a laugh, "Not tell anybody."

Flacco, however, has taken a bit of heat for his apparent greed. Extramustard.SI.com commented that his purchases are in poor taste.

"You want to spend your money on cars you don't drive or houses with 40 rooms when you live alone, that's fine. But lottery tickets?" Extramustard.si.com retorted. "Wake up Joe, you already hit the lottery. You went to Delaware, joined a team built on an elite defense, got hot for a month in January and parlayed that into a $120 million contract to play a kid's game.

"That's it. That's all the luck you get."

But it's not like Flacco won the lottery. And he did pose with Owen at the convenience store. There are worse things that professional athletes have done than buying a lottery ticket.
