NFL refs last week were offered free LASIK eye surgery as fans believe the bad calls should be blamed on them. This is not the worst news of the week since the fans at the Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs game brawled in the stands.
Unfortunately, it was not an ordinary fan quarrel since one of them was charged with assault.
What Triggered the Brawl?
According to a report from TMZ that says one of the implicated men was charged with assault, a crazy fight between Kansas City Chiefs fans and Denver Broncos fans spilled over into Arrowhead Stadium seats.
Violence erupted when a Patrick Surtain II—supporting fan threw punches at a man sitting beside him in a video captured by an onlooker. The melee soon turned into an all-out fight until security personnel from the stadium intervened, but efforts to get one of the combatants, identified as the Surtain fan, to fall several rows of seats only succeeded partially.
Ripping his feet out of the wringer, one could see the fan arguing with security as he repeatedly denied anything like aggression, muttering, "I didn't swing on nobody." But another dramatic swing of events occurred when another Broncos fan swooped in and tossed two punches to a security guard's face.

Police Move In
Eventually, the mobbing crowd calmed the fight and restored order in the chaotic part of the stadium. But that was not all. Court documents indicate that a Colorado resident and one of the fanatics who participated in the brawl, Joseph Mascarenas, has also been charged with assault. His arraignment is on Dec 27.
Stadium Fights Are Getting Worse
The recent incidents would always remind the nation's sporting fraternity of the darker side of rivalries and raise questions about the safety of sports venues. Although teams and operators of stadiums work hard to ensure that they keep the surroundings safe, instances like these bring home the importance of putting in place stricter security measures.
Some Broncos fans, up to this day, still claim that their team got robbed. Daily Mail spotted some comments from them after the hotly-contested match.
"Every f***ing game the NFL has to rig it for the Chiefs.'S*** is horrendously bad. Not even hiding it anymore," one wrote on X.
"What was the reff smoking there !!!!!!!!??????," another user added.
