The highly-anticipated bout between boxing ace Mike Tyson and YouTuber Jake Paul has got its share of criticisms but one thing has been affirmed by De La Hoya as he spoke for it. According to Bad Left Hook, the boxing legend shared his bold statement regarding the upcoming bout.

"Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are set to fight tomorrow night on Netflix. Jake, you're a f-ckin' spectacular marketer my man. After only a few years in the sport you managed to get yourself an enormous payday and you're fighting Mike f-cin' Tyson. But you're fighting Tyson at 60 years old. This is serious sh-t, where you can actually hurt an old man. Jake, it adds zero credibility to your resume."

De La Hoya hopes that Jake Paul gets knocked out by Iron Mike. He said that Mike would catch him off-guard with a left uppercut since he could not take boxing seriously.

During the weigh-in, Tyson surprisingly slapped Paul. The heated moment captured the eyes of the fans who were glued to the very instance when Mike landed his "initiative" before the fight.

The Sale of Ring Magazine

The recent sale of the Ring Magazine to Turki Alalshikh, a high-ranking personality in the sports industry, has marked the end of de la Hoya's ownership.

"Man, I had hundreds of offers over the years to sell, but I didn't feel any of the suitors were right until Turki came along. He has a tremendous passion for the sport and has a huge plan to expand the entire Ring brand. The world has been waiting for one champion per weight division and now I have all the confidence in the world we will see that very soon," De La Hoya said.

This sale marks a watershed moment for Ring Magazine in its quest to maintain the "bible of boxing" status under new ownership.

Digging Deep: Eddie Hearn Challenges Matchroom vs. Golden Boy Card

Eddie Hearn was no less blunt when discussing a proposed five-on-five fight card between Matchroom Boxing and Golden Boy Promotions.

"Eddie Hearn now says he doesn't want to fight 'Boots' Ennis with Vergil Ortiz. You're right, Eddie. Boots looked like an amateur last weekend, but a deal is a deal. Don't be a pussy now, Eddie. You also said you would fight me for the right number. F-ck the money, Eddie. I will fight you free. It would be my pleasure."

The fiery words from De La Hoya reveal his competitive nature, even when challenging one of boxing's top promoters. Oscar De La Hoya is still making noise in the boxing world, first as a promoter and now also as a vocal antagonist.
