Tuesday's World Series Game 4 appears to be a normal day for fans who love to feel the heat of the stadium, but for the two New York Yankees fans—it's the day where they stole the limelight from a Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts.
The two fans were on the sidelines and saw themselves getting ejected for attempting to snatch a ball from Betts' glove.
How the Embarrassing Moment Was Caught on TV
The unusual incident occurred in the first inning at Yankee Stadium during the matchup between the Yankees and Dodgers. Gleyber Torres hit a pop fly down the first-base line, landing in foul territory. TMZ reports that Betts managed to catch it in his glove just before it reached the fans.
However, as soon as he secured it, two Yankees fans attempted to pry it from his grip.
Video footage shows one man grabbing Betts' glove, trying to force it open, while the other fan seized his throwing hand. Betts, visibly frustrated, watched as the ball ultimately popped free. Despite the interference, the umpires ruled it a catch, calling Torres out.
Moments later, stadium security escorted the two fans out. One of them, Austin Capobianco, spoke with ESPN from a nearby bar later that evening, giving his perspective on the encounter.
"We always joke about the ball in our area. We're not going to go out of our way to attack. If it's in our area, we're going to 'D' up," Capobianco said on TV.
Although ejected from Game 4, he noted they were informed they'd be allowed back for Game 5 on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Mookie Betts Just Shrugged it Off
As for Betts, he brushed off the incident, telling reporters, "It's irrelevant. We lost," after the Dodgers' 11-4 defeat.
Deep inside, some watchers knew that overstepping the boundaries should come with a corresponding punishment. It's even worse when Sports Illustrated reports that Capobianco became an instant celebrity in the making at that time.
The front row seats are indeed expensive, but it does not permit them to do foolish things that might affect the game, especially since it's World Series day-where two teams are ultra-focused to pull out an advantage ahead of the other.
