Paul George and Joel Embiid stole the spotlight during the NBA Finals for a moment as part of the coverage of the series between eventual champs Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks.

They made great takes, but people were hung up on their gestures, seemingly trying to recruit each other.

The pair coming together would make their team a title contender.

Hard to say based on Paul George's recent comments about his plans for next season.

The Los Angeles Clippers star said he is no longer about chasing a ring.

"At this point, I'm not even necessarily, this is not even about - people say chasing a championship, it's not that. It's playing the right style of basketball is what I'm chasing," PG bared in his podcast.

PG is with the Clippers, and they remain a formidable team.

They just got unlucky with injuries to Robert Covington and Nicolas Batum in the playoffs.

Paul George's contract situation with Clippers

PG seeing another team is a possibility.

According to reports, the Clippers are not all in with George regarding contract negotiations.

The team gave Kawhi Leonard a max contract, but they are unwilling to sign PG for the same or higher amount.

Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote the Clippers "haven't offered George a dollar more than what they paid [Kawhi] Leonard: three years, $152.4 million."

The report was written as part of his coverage of the Sixers' desire to sign PG.
