Inter Miami star Lionel Messi has met many prestigious individuals, including the Pope, numerous world leaders, and fellow all-time great athletes such as LeBron James and Patrick Mahomes.
However, he still aims to check off one more item from his bucket list by meeting another NBA legend.
"From the sports world, I would like to have a photo with [Michael] Jordan. Meet him and take a photo with him," the 36-year-old stated in an interview with ESPN Argentina.
Messi will play for the Argentina national team in the 2024 Copa America, which will be held in various locations across the United States from June 20 to July 14.

The all-time top scorer of FC Barcelona and Argentina has never met the Chicago Bulls icon in person despite having met Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, who is often compared to Jordan as the greatest basketball player ever.

Messi and Jordan are arguably the greatest players in their respective sports.
The Argentine has won a record eight Ballon d'Or and a multitude of trophies with FC Barcelona, including ten La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League titles. He also won the 2021 Copa America and the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the national team.
Meanwhile, Jordan holds an undefeated 6-0 record in the NBA Finals, winning championships in two three-peats from 1991 to 1993 and 1996 to 1998. He was named NBA Finals MVP on all six occasions and still holds numerous NBA records.
