Sports television personality Pat McAfee recently sparked controversy for his comments on Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark on his show, The Pat McAfee Show, despite being complimentary about her.

McAfee posted an apology on social media after receiving backlash.

"I shouldn't have used "white b***h" as a descriptor of Caitlin Clark. No matter the context.. even if we're talking about race being a reason for some of the stuff happening.. I have way too much respect for her and women to put that into the universe," McAfee wrote on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

McAfee mentioned his controversial remarks during a recent episode of his Pat McAfee Show on ESPN.

The 37-year-old discussed how Clark levels above her rookie class in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

"I would like the media people that continue to say, 'This rookie class, this rookie class, this rookie class'. Nah, just call it for what it is, there's one white b***h for the Indiana team who is a superstar," McAfee said on the show.
