The ever-confident Anthony Edwards made a bold proclamation before Game 4.
"It's time to make history," he said.
And that's what Edwards is on the quest to do.
After putting themselves in a 3-0 hole, the Timberwolves have managed to stay alive last night, winning against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, forcing a Game 5 at home.
Edwards had his best game of the series so far, dropping 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists.
Karl-Anthony Towns also found his game after struggling throughout most of the series. Fighting through foul trouble and an ugly shooting slump, Towns had his best game of the series with 25 points on an astounding 9 for 13 from the field and 4 for 5 on three-pointers.
He erupted in the fourth quarter dropping 10 of his points to help seal the game.

Dallas Backcourt Struggles

The Mavericks looked completely gassed throughout Game 4.
Kyrie Irving, who was known to be 14-0 in potential close-out games in the postseason, finished with 16 points on 18 shots, now blemishing his lauded record to 14-1.
Luka Doncic was still impressive finishing with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. He hit a big three and some other big shots in the fourth, but Doncic still ended up going 7 for 21 on the night.
The Mavs looked less solid than they did earlier in the series towards the end of Game 4. Irving and Doncic hit big shots in games 1-3 to give the Mavs the edge. But couldn't close out the Wolves last night.
Miraculous Comeback
The Timberwolves eyes are focused on a seemingly impossible feat ahead of Game 5. They have a chance to make an astounding 3-0 comeback, cutting the series to a 3-2 deficit on Thursday would potentially set up a big Game 6 and 7; seven being at home for Minnesota.
No team has ever advanced after losing their first three games in a series in the NBA, let alone in the Conference Finals.
The Boston Celtics pushed the Miami Heat to Game 7 last year. However, they lost to a tough Heat squad led by Jimmy Butler.
Coming back from a 3-0 deficit is a tough task, and it will be even more complicated if the Timberwolves stars can't replicate last night's play.
Towns and Edwards have had moments of brilliance throughout the postseason, but they have been completely up and down over the past few weeks. If they have any hope to come out of this series they need to remain consistent.
