One impressive stat from Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving has been blemished.
The Mavericks failed to complete a sweep as they fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, 105-100, on Tuesday, May 28, at the American Airlines Center, extending the series to another game.
Irving's previous immaculate 14-0 record in closeout games, contests wherein his teams had a chance to win the playoff series during his entire career, has now fallen to 14-1 after the loss.
The eight-time NBA All-Star has previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and Brooklyn Nets in the playoffs in his 13 seasons in the league.
Both teams will fly back to Minnesota for Game 5, which is scheduled for Thursday, May 30, at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Irving certainly did not help himself in stopping his perfect closeout games streak.
The 32-year-old scored 16 points but did so inefficiently on 6-of-18 shooting from the field and 1-of-6 from three-point range. He also added two rebounds, four assists, and one steal but committed four turnovers.
Mavericks star Luka DonÄić also struggled with his shooting, scoring 28 points on 7-of-21 shooting as the two stars combined for 13-of-39 from the field.
